Soulseek is an ad-free, spyware-free file-sharing application dedicated predominantly to the free trade of electronic music and the promotion of unsigned artists. It was created by Nir Arbel, a former Napster programmer. Soulseek offers a huge selection of music, and is free of spyware and any other malicious code. Search for and share all kinds of files, including MP3s. It also includes chat rooms, and it features a buddy list for your favorite users. Soulseek is very good for downloading full albums as users can share folders for their albums. The latest version includes an improved search engine and added wishlist functionality. File Availability: This is definitely one of SoulSeeks greatest strengths. If you're a fan of electronic, dance or trance music, SoulSeek delivers an amazing quantity and quality of this music genre. Unlike Gnutella or KaZaA, a wide variety of high bitrate mp3s are available. Although many were on queue, a vast amount we came across are not available on other networks. SoulSeek also has something called a "wish list" feature. If there's a rare song that you want, this feature will continually seek out this song until someone on the network makes this song available.
